This Privacy Policy describes how Weiwu Store (also trading as Editions Dao) ("we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, and discloses your personal information when you visit, use our services, or make a purchase from www.weiwustore.com (the "Site"), or otherwise communicate with us regarding the Site (collectively, the "Services"). "You" means you as the user of the Services, whether you are a customer, website visitor, affiliate, or another individual whose information we have collected under this Privacy Policy.
Please read this Privacy Policy carefully. By using the Services, you acknowledge the practices described here.
1. WHO WE ARE
For the purposes of applicable data protection laws, Weiwu Store (Editions Dao) is the data controller of your personal information. Our contact details are provided at the end of this Policy.
2. PERSONAL INFORMATION WE COLLECT
The information we collect depends on how you interact with the Services. "Personal information" means information that identifies, relates to, describes, or can reasonably be associated with you.
Information you provide directly:
- Contact details, such as your name and email address, and, where needed, your billing address or phone number.
- Order information, such as the digital products or services you purchase, order numbers, and payment confirmation.
- Account information, such as your email address, username, and password.
- Shopping information, such as items you view, add to your cart, or save to your account, and reviews or referrals you submit.
- Customer support information, such as the content of messages and files you send us (for example, when reporting an error in a score or requesting custom work).
- Affiliate or membership information, if you join our affiliate program or membership plan.
You may choose not to provide some information, but this may prevent you from using certain features, such as completing a purchase or receiving a download.
Information we collect automatically:
When you visit the Site, we and our service providers may automatically collect usage data using cookies, pixels, and similar technologies. This may include your IP address, device and browser information, general location derived from your IP address, pages viewed, referring pages, and how you interact with the Site and our emails.
Information we obtain from third parties:
We may receive information from companies that support our Services, such as Shopify, our payment processors, and the platforms and tools we use for email, analytics, and our affiliate program. Payment processors collect payment details (such as card or bank information) to process your payment. We do not receive or store your full payment card number.
3. HOW WE USE YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION
- Providing the products and services you request. To process payments, deliver digital files and download links, manage your account, send order confirmations and notifications, handle corrections, refunds, and exchanges, and perform custom services. This is necessary to perform our contract with you.
- Customer support and service improvement. To respond to your questions and fix problems with files or orders, and to improve the Site, our catalog, and our services. This is in our legitimate interests under Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR.
- Marketing. To send you news, offers, and new releases by email where permitted by law, and to show you relevant advertising. You can unsubscribe from marketing emails at any time using the link in each email. Where required by law, we rely on your consent.
- Security and fraud prevention. To detect, investigate, and prevent fraudulent, illegal, or malicious activity and to protect the Services. This is in our legitimate interests under Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR.
- Legal compliance. To comply with applicable laws, tax and accounting obligations, and valid legal requests, and to enforce our terms and protect our rights.
4. COOKIES
We use cookies and similar technologies to power the Site, remember your cart and preferences, run analytics, and understand how visitors use the Services. For information about the cookies used by our Shopify-powered store, see https://www.shopify.com/legal/cookies. Most browsers accept cookies by default, but you can set your browser to remove or reject them. Blocking cookies may cause some features of the Site to stop working correctly.
The Site recognizes the Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal. If you send us a GPC signal, we treat it as a valid request to opt out of the sale or sharing of your personal information and of targeted advertising for that browser or device. Learn more at https://globalprivacycontrol.org/. We do not respond to other "Do Not Track" signals.
5. HOW WE DISCLOSE PERSONAL INFORMATION
We may disclose your personal information in the following circumstances:
- To service providers acting on our behalf, such as Shopify (hosting and e-commerce platform), payment processors (for example Shopify Payments, PayPal, and the providers behind Apple Pay and Google Pay), email and download-delivery tools, analytics providers, and customer support tools.
- To affiliate program providers. We use a third-party service (Goaffpro) to manage affiliate accounts, referrals, and payouts. If you join the program, the information you provide is shared with that provider.
- To business and marketing partners, to provide services and advertise to you, where applicable. They process your information under their own privacy notices.
- With your consent or at your direction.
- In connection with a business transaction, such as a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.
- To comply with legal obligations, respond to lawful requests, enforce our terms, and protect the rights, property, or safety of us, our users, or others.
In the past 12 months, we may have disclosed the following categories of personal information for the purposes described above: identifiers (such as name and email), commercial information (such as order history), internet or network activity (usage data), and approximate location derived from IP address. We do not use or disclose sensitive personal information to infer characteristics about you.
6. SALE, SHARING, AND ADVERTISING
We do not sell your personal information in exchange for money. We may use advertising and analytics tools from third parties (for example, Google or Meta) that place cookies or pixels on the Site. Under some laws, such as California's, this may be considered "sharing" personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. You can opt out by sending a GPC signal, by adjusting your cookie preferences where offered, or by contacting us at the email below. We do not knowingly sell or share the personal information of individuals under 16.
7. THIRD-PARTY WEBSITES AND LINKS
The Site may link to websites or platforms operated by third parties, including partner stores where you can buy sheet music. We are not responsible for the privacy practices or content of those sites. If you follow a link or make a purchase on a third-party platform, that platform's privacy policy applies.
8. CHILDREN'S DATA
The Services are not intended for children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has given us personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.
9. SECURITY AND RETENTION
We use reasonable measures to protect your personal information, but no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. Please do not send sensitive or confidential information to us through insecure channels. We keep your personal information for as long as needed to provide the Services, maintain your account, meet legal, tax, and accounting obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements.

11. COMPLAINTS
If you have a complaint about how we process your personal information, please contact us first. Depending on where you live, you may also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority. For the EEA, a list of supervisory authorities is available on the European Data Protection Board's website.
12. INTERNATIONAL USERS AND DATA TRANSFERS
We, our service providers, and our partners may be located in, and may transfer, store, and process your personal information in, countries other than the one where you live, including China and the United States. Where we transfer personal information out of the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, we rely on recognized transfer mechanisms such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses or equivalent safeguards, unless the transfer is to a country determined to provide an adequate level of protection.
